Laila L. Wilson

As an Afro-Latina creative hailing from Long Island, NY, Laila is a Purchase College graduate with a B.A. in Playwriting and Screenwriting, currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Film with a concentration in TV Writing at Stony Brook University. She is an alumna of the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Early Career Bootcamp and a former Current Programming Intern at The CW Network. Her writing explores relationships bound by family or friendship and strives for audiences to consider universal human experiences by removing the spotlight from our differences.

Her previous accomplishments include the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence, SUNY ACT Scholarship for Student Excellence and Initiative, Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive participant, The Television Academy Foundation Internship Program finalist, and YoungArts competition winner for an original screenplay. She looks forward to using her learned experiences as a future creator and showrunner of an original series!
